I am cmniog up on the one-year anniversary of my mom’s passing, July 4. “Startled” is a good word; whenever, I have good news to share with her, I blink (a hard mind blink), realizing I can’t tell her over the phone or in person, just via my thoughts and being. That startles me, all right. Maybe that feeling never leaves. My condolences to you on this day.
